 From politicians to vacuum cleaners, there are people who want your opinion. The usual pay is anywhere between $100 and $300 for an hour or two of your time, online, usually in Zoom. 

Lawyers like to know how jurors feel about cases before jumping into the court room. They pay for your time to listen and give your ideas and ask questions about a case. Pay varies, but always at least $150 for two hours, with a short break in the middle.

Most of them ask for proof you are related to the person, so be prepared to fill out paperwork and find vital records. You will need to show the relationship and sign documents swearing you are telling the truth.

Checking Account Bonuses

 If you're unemployed, and at home, and have internet, consider chasing checking account bonuses.

So many banks will pay you to deposit your paycheck at their institution. The amount ranges from $100-$500, usually after 90 days and a certain threshold of deposits. Invest an hour into moving things like your Ebay deposit, unemployment check or paycheck (or like I do, mystery shopping pay) to a new account. Once list of current promotions I like is:

Read the fine print, make sure you get your money! This can be done in some cases once a year. So, be sure you understand the rules and get yourself a little extra for Christmas or that home repair you need.

Mystery Shopping

 

 There are many mystery shopping companies that post phone and online shops. Do not fall for scams in this arena! Check if a company is reputable. The MSPA has a list of companies you can trust.

For clearing house and collective shops in one app, look to Gigspot (https://gigspot.com/) or iSecretShop (https://www.isecretshop.com/), both, as well as many others, offer a section for phone and online shops to be posted. Register with the company and apply or self-assign the shops. These are great when the weather is bad or you are caring for children or parents and can't leave the house. The pay is usually about $2-50, depending on what you need to do.

Make sure you meet the technology required for each shop, the guidelines will specify how the shop is conducted. It is important to meet all criteria if you wish to be paid. As you get started, take simple shops, learn the ropes!
